The Lawnside Education Foundation has met its goal of raising $50,000 in 2014 for technology and media center upgrades, books, and supplies with a $25,000 donation from Shoprite of Lawnside, community organizations, and individual donors. This milestone is aligned to the results of a survey conducted by the New Jersey School Boards Association. Their 1999 survey found that foundation fundraising activities enhance public school programs through: (1) innovation/teacher mini-grants, (2) enrichment/cultural arts activities, (3) school/community equipment, (4) improved community-school relations, and (5) technology (NJSBA Policy and Library Resources Department).
